RD1 Spirits' first bourbon finished in French oak. The Kentucky straight bourbon spends more than four years in new American oak barrels before French oak staves are added for further ageing.
The French oak comes from forests in central France and is seasoned in Northern California, then toasted to RD1's own specification.
The bourbon has a rich mouthfeel with flavours of caramel, dark cherries and sweet oak, and it finishes with dark chocolate and a little smoke.
