A five-year-old peated single malt from the Finger series, which matures young Islay whisky in ex-Islay bourbon barrels. Red Finger spent 21 months in a peated bourbon barrel and picked up subtle winey and nutty touches from port, palo cortado and Pineau des Charentes casks. It was bottled in 2026 at 58.2% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose combines butter, olive oil, dusty wholemeal bread, bay leaf, a fruit salad of banana, orange and red grapes, and a jar of tar. The palate is spicy, rustic and peaty, turning sweeter with kiwi and nutmeg on a second sip. The finish brings grapes, oily nuts, earthy peat and campfire smoke, more bitter than sweet.
