A 12 year old Irish pure pot still whisky from Redbreast, bottled by Edward Dillon & Co. at 40% ABV. The palate shows some Oloroso sherry cask influence.
The colour is rich amber. The nose combines toasted hazelnuts, linseed oil and marzipan with orange peel, prune, date and melon, over ginger, cinnamon and toasted wood. The palate is creamy and full-bodied, with caramel, dried fruit, citrus zest and baking spices, plus raisin and nutmeg. The finish is long and warming, with custard, spice and pepper, fading to oak and grassy notes.
