Redbreast 12 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is a deep, bright brassy gold.
The nose starts with creamy soda, then vanilla wafer and sweet cereals give it a slight bourbon character. The entry is soft and light, and the mid palate turns creamy, with semi-sweet toasty cereals and brandy cream sauce set against spicy, drying oak.
The finish is pure, crisp and dry, with vanilla wafer biscuit returning before a late creme caramel fade.
