Redbreast 21 Year Old is an Irish pure pot still whiskey in a 70cl bottle, matured for 21 years. It is distilled in copper pot stills from malted and unmalted (green) barley, following the traditional Irish method.
The nose is rich and round, with spiced prunes, quince and a little deeply caramelised apple. On the palate there is a touch of menthol beside sherry-like spice and juicy fruit, with a hint of nectarine. The finish begins with some tart fruit, then gives way to sweet and salty barley notes.
