Redbreast 27 Year Old is the oldest permanent release in the Redbreast family. It is a single pot still Irish whiskey made only from triple-distilled pot still whiskeys.
They matured for no less than 27 years in bourbon, sherry and ruby port casks, and the whiskey was left untouched afterwards. It is bottled at 53.5% ABV.
The nose brings mango, pineapple, blood orange and red berries with fresh herbs, vanilla, treacle toffee and walnuts. The palate is rich in texture, with red plums, black cherries and a hint of chilli oil, then cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted oak. The finish is long, with ripe fruit and wood spices.
