Redbreast – PX Edition (70cl, 46%)

Redbreast Pedro Ximénez Edition is an Irish single pot still whiskey, triple distilled and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was the first release in the Redbreast Iberian Series, which features whiskeys finished in casks from Iberian bodegas, and it is now a permanent part of the range. The whiskey matured first in Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then moved into Pedro Ximénez hogsheads from the south of Spain. The nose brings fruit, spice and toasted nuts alongside the gentle sweetness of Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The palate is zesty and syrupy, balancing fruit, spice and toasted notes, and the finish is rich and long, with sweetness lingering.
