Remus Babe Ruth Reserve is an inaugural release of Indiana straight bourbon, inspired by the baseball player Babe Ruth. It is bottled at 55.5% ABV (111 proof) in a 75cl bottle. The bourbon blends three mash bills, a high-rye recipe with 36% rye, a second with 39% rye and a third with 44% rye, all between six and seven years old. The release totals 10,624 bottles, matching the number of at bats in Ruth's career, and each bottle number links by QR code to the details of one of them. Apricot, orange peel, baking spices and toffee lead the nose. The palate offers crème brûlée, seared caramel and pastry, and the finish carries rye spice, vanilla and toasted oak.
