Rock Hill Farms is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from Buffalo Trace's Mash Bill #2, which has a lower rye content, and each bottle comes from one new charred American oak barrel. It carries no age statement and is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose offers dusty oak, caramel, dried figs, saddle leather and baking spices. The palate moves from dark chocolate and tobacco to poached pear, salted caramel and honey, with a little rye spice and mint. The finish is long, with dry oak, walnut, vanilla and baking spice.
