Rock Oyster Cask Strength Limited Edition No. 1 is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 57.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its sweetness comes from the Arran and Jura malts in the blend, set against Islay phenols.
The nose is maritime, with coastal peat, iodine, coal dust, tobacco, lime peel, candied fruit and white pepper. The palate is rich and oily, with Islay phenols, ash, black pepper, ginger and seaweed. The finish is long, with brine, dying smoke, toasted oak and peppery spice.
