This is a 1979 Rosebank bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice series in 1993, at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It dates from before Rosebank closed in 1993 and the distillery was later revived, and comes from the original direct-fired still production. The nose has dried bouillon, flat champagne, faint spice and varnished wood. The palate is round, with a spicy sherry bite that is watered down but still quite rich. The finish is slightly dry, with faint sherry oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
