Royal Brackla – 10 Year Old Duncan Taylor (70cl, 53.8%)

This is a 10 year old single malt from Royal Brackla, distilled in April 2011 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in December 2021. It is a cask strength bottling at 53.8% ABV, one of 390 bottles, in a 70cl bottle. The nose is light and citrusy, with orange peel and marmalade, toffee apple, barley sugar, and malt loaf with salted butter and honey. On the palate the citrus gives way to green fruit, stewed apples and ripe pears, with touches of spice like those in German Christmas cookies.
