This is a 12 year old single malt from Royal Brackla, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in Oloroso sherry casks, which add a fruity, spiced depth.
Royal Brackla was the first distillery to receive a royal warrant, granted by King William IV in 1833.
The nose offers sherried fruit cake, buttered malt loaf and stone fruits. On the palate come peaches, dried apricots, dark berries and cherries alongside caramelised nuts, chocolate raisins, brown sugar and baking spices. The finish is sweet and tangy, with oak, sugared fruit and almonds.
