This Royal Brackla was distilled on 7 October 2006 and matured for 11 years in a refill hogshead. The independent bottler The Single Cask Ltd bottled it on 15 May 2018 at cask strength, 60.9%, in a 70cl bottle. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered, and the outturn was 285 bottles.
Fruit and barley rise from the glass on the nose, followed by musty oak and green ferns dusted with white pepper. The palate is a soothing balm of oak and spice, rich and sweet, with rock sugar, green tea and white wine. The finish is soft and long, with rock sugar and white wine echoing alongside dark oak.
