A 25 year old Highland single malt from Royal Brackla, the first Scotch distillery to receive a Royal Warrant, granted by King William IV in 1833. It was matured in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The colour is deep copper-amber. The nose has summer fruits, spiced raisins, dried figs, milk chocolate, ground coffee and toasted almonds. On the palate, creamy vanilla and honeyed oak sit alongside sticky toffee, dark chocolate, figs, sultanas and baking spice. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, roasted coffee and wood spice.
