A 9 year old Royal Brackla bottled by Duncan Taylor from a single cask, one of 258 bottles. The whisky was distilled in March 2011 and bottled in September 2020 at 54.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is grassy, with spiced apple pie, gentle sherry, almond croissant and a little red fruit. On the palate, sweet sherry meets ripe orchard fruit, citrus zest and vanilla custard, with a touch of fresh bread. The finish starts grassy and creamy before turning peppery, while apple and vanilla linger.
