Royal Salute 21 Year Old Harris Reed Edition is a blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers, in a 70cl bottle. Made in 2023 as a limited edition with the fashion designer Harris Reed, it comes in a pink decanter decorated with feather crowns, his symbol for modern crowns.
The blend was created at a co-blending session at Strathisla Distillery with master blender Sandy Hyslop. Sherry-matured Braeval and Glenburgie aged in American oak give it a sweet, spiced character.
The nose has red apple, raspberry jam, crème brûlée, hazelnut praline and cinnamon. The palate brings pear crumble, vanilla fudge, almonds, raisins and ginger. The finish is rich and spicy.
