Royal Salute 38 Year Old Stone of Destiny is a blended Scotch whisky in a 50cl bottle, named after the Stone of Destiny used in the coronation of Scottish monarchs. It was matured for 38 years in selected oak casks.
It comes in a handcrafted porcelain decanter inspired by royal artefacts, with gold detailing.
The nose offers figs, dates, dark honey, bitter chocolate and aged oak, with sweet spice, nutmeg and leather beneath. On the palate there is ripe fruit, toasted caramel, praline and ginger in a silky texture, leading to a long, warm finish of dried fruit, spice and fine wood.
