Royer XO Cognac (70cl)

Royer XO is a cognac distilled and aged in the cellars of Maison Royer, in the Cognac region of France. It has spent well beyond the ten-year minimum for an XO in oak casks, and it comes in a presentation box. The colour is a deep, bright amber. The nose shows ripe plum, apricot and dates with fine wood, vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon. The palate is balanced and round, with dark chocolate, leather, tobacco and sweet spice. The finish is smooth and harmonious, with candied orange and wild honey. It can be sipped neat at room temperature, or used in a Sidecar or an Old Fashioned.
