Rozelieures Rare Special Four Casks is a French single malt whisky from Lorraine, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The Grallet-Dupic family grows its own barley and distils the malted spirit in copper pot stills. It is matured in sherry, cognac, Sauternes and new oak casks before vatting.
The nose is tinned pear, floral honey, marmalade, mixed nuts and vanilla, with a sweet wine note. The palate is velvety, with candied citrus peel, dark dried fruit, raisin, gentle wood smoke and baking spice. The finish is long, with raisin, warm wood spice and a little oak tannin.
