Rozelieures Smoked Collection Single Malt French Whisky (75cl, 46%)

Rozelieures Smoked Collection is a peated French single malt from Lorraine, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made at the Grallet-Dupic farm-distillery in the village of Rozelieures, where the family has distilled since 1860. The barley is grown on the estate, malted on site and peated to about 20-22 ppm. It is double-distilled in Charentais pot stills and matured in sherry casks. The whisky is bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. The peat is gentle and continental, with woodsmoke and cured meat rather than medicinal iodine, sitting over dried fruit from the sherry casks and malt. The finish is clean and savoury.
