Russell's Reserve 15 Year is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at barrel proof, 58.6%, in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered.
The blend is roughly 75% 15-year-old and 25% 16-year-old bourbon, all matured at Wild Turkey's Camp Nelson warehouses beside the Kentucky River. The mashbill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. The range is named for master distillers Jimmy and Eddie Russell.
The nose shows blackberry, red grape and red apple, with brown sugar, baking spices, marshmallow and vanilla custard. The palate has dried strawberry, berry coulis and milk chocolate ganache, moving to molasses, coffee, tobacco and oak. The finish is long, with date and coffee syrup.
