Russell's Reserve Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Wild Turkey in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, bottled at 55% ABV (110 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Each bottling comes from one hand-selected barrel, chosen by Master Distillers Jimmy and Eddie Russell, and it is non-chill filtered.
The mashbill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley, and the bourbon is matured in American white oak with a deep No. 4 'alligator' char. It carries no age statement.
The nose is typically described as caramel, toffee, vanilla and toasted oak with light cigar-box smokiness. The palate is rich and chewy, with honeyed vanilla, cherry, citrus and rye spice, and the finish is long and warming with sweet oak, cinnamon and a touch of leather.
