A 12-year-old single malt from Rutherford's, the Caneco edition, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is rich and led by sherry, with dried figs and raisins, orange peel, caramel, toffee and vanilla, over toasted oak, almond, cocoa and a faint touch of tobacco smoke. The palate is silky and balanced, moving from vanilla and toffee sweetness to sherried fruit, with gentle spice, cocoa and orange peel. The finish is long and velvety, with apricot, dried fig, dark chocolate and almonds, and a spicy edge of polished oak.
