Sagamore Spirit Cask Strength is a Maryland-style rye in a 750ml bottle, bottled at barrel proof without being cut down. The strength is printed on the label and varies from batch to batch.
It is blended in small batches in Baltimore from two straight rye mash bills, one high-rye and one low-rye. Any water added comes from the limestone-filtered spring house at Sagamore Farm, built in 1909.
Dark chocolate and brown sugar come with black pepper and honey, in a dense, warming palate. A splash of water brings out caramel and dark cherry.
