Sagamore Spirit – High Rye Bourbon Whiskey 6 Year Reserve Series (75cl)

Sagamore Spirit High Rye Bourbon is a six-year-old bourbon from the Reserve Series, in a 75cl bottle. It is the first bourbon from the Baltimore distillery, which built its name on Maryland rye. The mash bill contains 25% rye, bringing the spice and herbal character of the Sagamore house into a bourbon. Tasting notes describe brown sugar, cinnamon stick, charred oak and yellow cake on the nose, with candy apple and nutmeg. The palate is sweet with syrup and brown sugar, then black peppercorn, rye spice and lemon zest. The finish is dry, with vanilla, black pepper and marmalade on rye toast.
