This is a Maryland straight rye whiskey from Sagamore Spirit, in a 75cl bottle. It was the first batch distilled at the brand's own Maryland distillery, and it draws on the state's rye-making history, which reaches back to before Prohibition.
The mash bill has a high rye content, which gives a spicy character balanced by sweet, creamy notes.
On the palate there is caramel, honey and vanilla with a hint of spice, and undertones of dried fruit and oak.
