Saltire Rare Malts Isle of Jura 14 Year Old (70cl, 48.8%)

This is a 14 year old single malt from Isle of Jura distillery, bottled by Saltire Rare Malt Whisky in a 70cl bottle at 48.8% ABV. It was distilled on 2 February 2011 and bottled on 30 September 2025, from cask 230, with 55 bottles produced. The whisky matured in an ex-Blair Athol Bordeaux hogshead, an unusual choice that pairs Jura's island character with a wine cask. The nose is coastal, with sea breeze salinity, ripe red berries and soft orchard fruits. The palate has a salty, briny tang balanced by stewed fruits, sultanas and toffee.
