Saltyre 12 Years Old Caneco is a 12-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from The Saltyre, in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The nose shows dried fruit, lingering honey and old oak, with a background of toasted malt and a very light coastal, marine touch. The palate is soft and oily, with toffee, aged vanilla and sweet spice such as cinnamon, and a pronounced, elegant woodiness.
The finish is long, warm and harmonious, turning markedly dry, with dried fruit and a slight salty, oceanic note at the end.
