This is a Bas Armagnac from Samalens, distilled in 1987 in the Gers in France and aged for 15 years in oak casks.
The time in wood gives it layers of aroma. On the nose there is ripe plum and peach, with vanilla, chocolate, sweet spice and a light toasted edge.
The palate is soft and harmonious, with caramel, fine spice and toasted nuts. The texture is velvety and the finish lingers.
