Samalens Vieille Relique 15 Year Old Bas Armagnac (70cl)

Vieille Relique is a Bas Armagnac from the Samalens distillery in Gascony, aged for 15 years. It is distilled in a copper continuous still of the Armagnacais type, then matured in French oak barriques, where it takes on its amber colour. The nose shows candied fruit, vanilla and spice, with a hint of leather and tobacco that develops with air. The palate is robust and velvety, led by plum and chocolate with an elegant note of toasted oak. The finish is long and persistent. It is suited to room temperature in a tulip glass, as a digestif.
