A red wine from Romagna made exclusively from Sangiovese. It has an intense ruby colour tending toward garnet with age. The bouquet brings ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum, along with spice, leather and tobacco from wood ageing. On the palate it is robust, with soft tannins and pleasant acidity that lengthen the finish. It pairs well with meat roasts, game and aged cheeses, and is best served at about 18°C.
