Scallywag 18 Year Old is a Speyside blended malt from Douglas Laing, finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Jerez in Andalusia. It is bottled at 46% and is both non-chill-filtered and uncoloured.
This is a limited release of 2,610 bottles worldwide.
The nose brings dark chocolate truffles, spiced orange peel and roasted walnuts. The palate is rich, with toffee, black cherries and a hint of cinnamon, shaped by the sweet sherry cask. The finish is long and complex, with oak spice, espresso and dried figs.
