A blended malt bottled at cask strength, 54.1% abv, in a 70cl bottle. This is Limited Edition No. 2 from Scallywag, and Douglas Laing & Co. Ltd. is the company named with it. The nose is rich with orange marmalade, cinnamon and warm ginger, backed by vanilla, raisins and sultanas, with lively spice and malt beneath. The palate is broad and dense, with spiced apple and rhubarb pie, pronounced espresso coffee, sweet vanilla, raisins and fudge. The finish is long and fruity, as dark chocolate and toasted oak return over a sweet, juicy base.
