Scarabus is a series of Islay single malts bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. This one is 10 years old and bottled at 46%.
It is made from casks selected from a single Islay distillery, and the character is distinctly Islay.
The palate is rich and earthy, with plenty of peat smoke, leather and menthol, softened by syrup and honey. The finish is long and smooth.
