Scarabus Sherry Batch Strength 50th Edition Batch 1 (70cl, 57%)

Scarabus Sherry Batch Strength is an Islay single malt from Hunter Laing, bottled at 57% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first exclusive edition for Germany, made with Hunter Laing to mark HaWe's 50th anniversary, with an outturn of 2,400 bottles. The whisky was refined in first fill sherry casks and is natural colour and non-chill filtered. The strength was chosen to give the malt extra intensity that lasts. The nose has Islay peat smoke, dark berries and sea salt. The palate is warming, with leather, chocolate sweetness and added intensity, leading to a lingering, fruity finish.
