Scarabus Sherry Cask Edition (70cl, 46%)

Scarabus Sherry Cask Edition is an Islay single malt from Hunter Laing, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered. This is the first limited edition in the Scarabus sherry series. The vatting was matured in first-fill sherry casks, and some of the whisky spent its whole maturation in first-fill Oloroso casks. The nose combines Islay peat smoke, dark berries and sea salt. On the palate there is a warming note of leather with chocolate sweetness, and the finish is rich, lingering and fruity.
