This is a 30 year old single malt from an undisclosed distillery in Rothes, Speyside, distilled in 1990 and bottled by Whisky Sponge as Edition No.28. It is in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in two refill hogsheads and bottled with a slight reduction to 48.5%.
The nose is fresh, with honeysuckle, grass, hay, soft wax, dessert wine and baked apple. The palate is lightly waxy, lemony and honeyed, with ripe green and orchard fruits.
