Selbach Olster Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Spätlese feinherb 'Ur' Alte Reben

This Riesling comes from old vines in the Mosel region of Germany, where the soils are rich in slate. It shows a bright straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose is intense, with white-fleshed fruit such as apple and pear, citrus, white flowers, aromatic herbs and a distinctive flinty minerality. On the palate the discreet sweetness of Spätlese is balanced by lively acidity, with a creamy texture and a prolonged mineral finish. It suits fish, shellfish, fresh cheeses and lightly spiced Asian dishes.
