Shibui Single Grain 10 Year Old Bourbon Cask Japanese Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Shibui Single Grain 10 Year Old Bourbon Cask is a Japanese single grain whisky made at Shinzato Distillery in Okinawa. The distillery was founded in 1846 and is now run by the seventh generation of the family. The whisky is distilled once in a traditional Japanese stainless steel pot still, then matured for ten years in ex-bourbon American oak. It is bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. The nose is fresh pastry and caramelised sugar with apricot and molasses. On the palate, oak spice and caramelised sugar come with pineapple and brown banana, followed by toffee and chocolate.
