This is an 18 year old Japanese single grain whisky from Shibui, bottled at 40% ABV. It is made from Indica long grain rice, fermented with indigenous Okinawan black koji and yeast, and distilled in a single stainless-steel pot still at the Kumesen Distillery in Okinawa, which dates from 1952.
The whisky was matured in ex-Fino and Manzanilla sherry oak.
It is described as showing red cherries, black liquorice and milk chocolate.
