Shibui Single Grain Sherry Cask 18 Year Old Japanese Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Shibui Single Grain Sherry Cask 18 Year Old is a Japanese whisky from Kumesen Distillery in Okinawa, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is distilled entirely from Indica rice, fermented with Okinawan black koji and distilled once in a stainless steel pot still. The spirit then spent 18 years in manzanilla and fino sherry casks, both lighter and drier styles of sherry. The nose brings milk chocolate, dried cranberry, cherry and toffee. On the palate there is citrus, vanilla fudge, gingersnap, walnut and fresh fig, followed by a finish of lime and green melon.
