Showdown in the Green Valley is a 15 year old Dailuaine, a Speyside single malt, bottled by Brave New Spirits for Series 4 of its WhiskyHeroes range. It was finished in a first fill Manzanilla hogshead and bottled at a cask strength of 55.5%.
Dailuaine was founded in 1852 near the village of Carron in northern Scotland. Its name means green valley in Gaelic, and the distillery is now owned by Diageo.
Tasting notes mention olive brine, dried apricot, quince jelly and white peppercorn.
