This is a single cask Braeval distilled in 2000 and matured for 21 years, bottled by Signatory Vintage from cask no. 6393 at a cask strength of 60.3% ABV. Braeval is a distillery in Speyside, Scotland.
The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. Despite its strength it is described as round and layered, with a full, oily texture.
The nose brings honey, peach, ripe pear and soft citrus over vanilla, toffee and light spice. On the palate come tropical fruit, stewed apple, a floral touch, nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is very long and warming, with sweet fruit, gentle spice and a hint of almond.
