A 10 year old single malt from Craigellachie in Speyside, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024 by Signatory Vintage. It is edition #39 of the 100 Proof series, bottled at 57.1% ABV and unfiltered.
The whisky matured in first-fill and second-fill casks, mainly bourbon barrels. Craigellachie is known for its worm tubs, a traditional cooling system.
The nose combines candied fruit, vanilla fudge and citrus zest with nutmeg and white pepper. The palate has ripe apple, pear compote and caramel toffee, with toasted almonds, tropical fruit and beeswax. The finish is long and warming, with lasting fruit, toasted oak and vanilla.
