This Glen Ord was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2024 by Signatory Vintage. It is an 11 year old Highland single malt at 57.1% ABV (100 proof), and Edition #22 in the 100 Proof series.
The whisky matured in first fill bourbon barrels, which give stronger notes of vanilla, coconut, toffee and charred oak than refill casks would. It is non-chill filtered and bottled in its natural colour.
The nose is vanilla fudge, buttercup and ripe banana, with honey, roasted almonds and lemon zest. The palate is oily, with butterscotch, tropical fruit, toasted oak and caramel, plus white pepper and cinnamon. The finish is long, with vanilla, citrus zest, dried pineapple and lightly charred oak.
