Sild 5 Year Old Triple Cask is a German single malt from Sylt Distellerie GmbH, in a 70cl bottle at 44% ABV. It has no added colour.
The whisky matured for five years in three kinds of cask: first-fill Amontillado sherry, second-fill port and Burgundy red wine. It is a limited edition of 634 bottles.
The nose has ripe berry fruit, fine sherry notes and a hint of spicy oak. The palate is full and robust, with red fruit, port and a subtle nuttiness. The finish is long, warm and velvety, with a gentle sweetness.
