Single Malts of Scotland Bunnahabhain 44 Year Old (70cl)

A 44 year old Bunnahabhain in a 70cl bottle, released under the Single Malts of Scotland label of Elixir Distillers. Bunnahabhain stands on the north-east coast of Islay and is traditionally known for an un-peated single malt, most of which was used for blending. The distillery was shut for two years from 1982 after a market downturn. It was later revived at low production and officially bottled as a single malt before the decade ended. Elixir Distillers began in 1999 as an independent bottler, and its first Single Malts of Scotland bottlings appeared in 2005.
