Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Dufftown distillery, founded in 1896. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, and the malt is distilled in copper pot stills.
The whisky matures in a mix of American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak ex-sherry casks.
The nose offers honey, ripe fruit and toasted nuts over a gentle malty sweetness. On the palate come toffee, baked apple and soft vanilla with a touch of oak spice, and the finish is mellow and slightly nutty, with lingering sweetness.
