Smokehead 15 is a 15-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Ian Macleod Distillers, in the smoky Islay style.
The nose is dense, oily, phenolic and salty, with pickled lemon and mineral notes that lead into grilled fish and rosemary and thyme roasting on a campfire.
On the palate, ash and salt give way to soft, sweet citrus, fine vanilla ice cream and barley, all woven with earthy peat that takes the lead.
